1 – Bottom Shelf w/ Pre-Installed Casters Locking Brakes
1 – Top Shelf w/ Pre-Installed Shelf and Support Beams
2 – Wooden Dowel Support Rods
The Potting Table is shipped in 2 fully assembled pieces. All you need to do is lift the tabletop onto the bottom shelf, plug the supporting dowels in place, and your table is complete.
We recommend having two people lift the top onto the bottom. Please do not try to lift the table by yourself.
Securing the Tabletop to the Bottom Shelf: The Tabletop shelf weighs approx. 50lbs. Please ask for help before trying to lift the top by yourself. Two people should lift the top together and place it on top of the bottom shelf. There will be 2 holes in the supporting beams underneath the tabletop that line up with the holes in the bottom shelf. Make sure that the holes line up correctly before setting the top into place. The Tabletop will sit firmly on top of the bottom shelf with 2 supporting dowels holding the front securely in place to stop it front tilting backwards
Remove table from pallet and position the bottom shelf upright on all four legs
Lock the brakes on 2 of the wheels to stop the shelf from moving before lifting the top section into place
Lift the top onto the bottom shelf
After the top has been placed onto the bottom shelf, make sure to slide the top all the way forward so that the metal tabletop is flush with the bottom legs. The tabletop should overhang on the front side of the table and be flush with the back side
Insert wooden dowels thru holes located underneath the metal tabletop
Push dowel all the way thru the support beam hole to securely lock the shelf in place. The holes will line up only if the top has been moved all the way forward. Over time, the wooden support beams will expand naturally to completely secure the countertop in place. In case you wish to remove the tabletop, first remove the wooden dowels
Your Potting Table is now assembled. Unlock the brakes with your foot and you can then move the table wherever you like. When necessary, apply brakes on any of the casters using your foot to switch the locking-brake on/off.
Care And Maintenance:
Your Potting Table is made from 100% natural and locally sourced Redwood. There are no stains or wood treatments applied to the wood. So the wood with weather naturally over time. When Redwood is left outdoors, it tends to change color tone and texture. It will turn grey with color and the natural grains will become more exposed. However, Redwood condenses and strengthens over time.
If you do not want the wood to turn Grey in color, we recommend applying a natural-colored wood stain to all surfaces of the wood. Danish Oil is recommended.
Use indoors and outdoors for all your intended needs. This Redwood Potting Table can be used as a Buffet Island for serving guests as well as your Gardening Table and Outdoor Workbench.
