Engineering Comparison Guide

Lee Display Ring Strength Guide

Approximate loads at first permanent deformation for flat bar rings. Each box shows two numbers: Push = downward force at the top of the ring that starts permanent bending, and Hang = bottom hanging load, with the ring supported from the top, that starts a permanent out-of-round set.

How to read the chart
Push Downward force at the top of the ring that starts permanent bending.
Hang Bottom hanging load, with the ring supported from the top, that starts a permanent out-of-round set.

Notes

Weaker
Stronger

Push = approximate downward force at the top of the ring that starts permanent bending.

Hang = approximate bottom hanging load, with the ring supported at the top by a hook, that starts a permanent out-of-round set. This is usually the more customer-relevant number for “how much can I hang from the ring before it stops looking circular?”

Darker cells indicate stronger variants. Cell color is based on the Hang value, using one consistent scale across all tabs so darker always means stronger.

These values are comparative engineering estimates based on product-page material data and idealized loading. They are not certified working load limits and do not include weld variability, safety factors, hook deformation, shock loading, or local distortion at the hook points.
