Lee Display was founded in 1902 by Antonino Latino in Manhattan, where the business began as a millinery company specializing in handmade velvet and silk flowers for the fashionable hats of the era.
In the 1920s, Antonino passed the business to his son, Anthony Latino Sr., who ran it alongside his wife, Armida Latino, while raising their six children. After Anthony Sr.’s untimely passing, Armida took over the company, making Lee Display one of the earliest women-owned and operated businesses in the United States.
Armida’s leadership carried the company forward until their youngest son, Anthony Latino Jr., graduated high school and stepped into the business. Under his direction, Lee Display continued to grow and evolve while staying rooted in family values, craftsmanship, and customer relationships.
By the 1950s, Lee Display had become known for holiday décor and visual display work, supplying iconic retailers like Bloomingdale’s with snowflakes, garlands, and Christmas flowers for their seasonal presentations.
In 1990, Anthony Jr.’s son, Mark Latino, moved the company to San Francisco to support growing West Coast demand. Today, Lee Display continues that tradition by helping customers create unforgettable spaces through custom décor, fabrication, visual merchandising, and holiday installations.
