When Hill Family Winery in Healdsburg wanted a show-stopping centerpiece for a special event promotion, they came to Lee Display.
The concept was bold and instantly recognizable: recreate the famous judge’s chair from The Voice for a promotional talent show experience. Using stock reference photography and our in-house fabrication capabilities, our team built a custom chair from scratch that captured the look, presence, and excitement of the original.
From welding and structure to upholstery, paint, and final installation, this project is a great example of how Lee Display can transform a creative idea into a fully realized event piece.
Built from the Ground Up
Every custom piece starts with structure. For this project, our team fabricated the chair frame from the ground up, carefully shaping the base and support system to match the proportions and visual impact of the original design.
Precision Fabrication & Assembly
Once the structure was in place, the chair moved through the next stages of fabrication and assembly. Every element had to work together visually and structurally, while still staying true to the recognizable style that inspired the piece.
Finishing Touches
The final stages brought the piece to life. Paint, upholstery, detailing, and installation all played an important role in giving the chair its polished, camera-ready finish. This is where fabrication becomes presentation.
